Terms

Terms of service.

Last updated: April 2026 — interim terms ahead of full paralegal review.

Short version. You pay monthly (or upfront at 15% off). 12-month minimum. 14-day cooling-off at signup. If a payment is missed you get 14 days' grace. Your data is kept for 90 days even after cancellation. After 12 months the domain is yours. Cancel any time by email. If circumstances change inside the term, we'll work with you on a fair exit.

1. Who you're dealing with

Straight Sites is a trading name of Beyond Arc Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our registered office address and company number are available on request by emailing hello@straightsites.co.uk — we'll add both here once Companies House registration is finalised.

In these terms, "we" and "us" means Beyond Arc Ltd trading as Straight Sites. "You" means the customer who signs up for a subscription or an upfront build.

2. What you're buying

A subscription website on one of four tiers (Starter, Basic, Standard, Extended), or an upfront build at 15% off the 12-month subscription total. Each tier is defined on the pricing section and includes the listed pages, edits per month, SEO Light, hosting, domain, SSL, and Google Business Profile setup.

An "edit" means one change to existing content — a phone number, a photo, a price, a testimonial. New pages, new services, and redesigns are separately scoped.

3. Subscription terms (monthly path)

Subscriptions run for a 12-month minimum from the date your site goes live, billed monthly. After 12 months, subscriptions roll monthly with 30 days' notice to cancel.

You can cancel within 14 days of signup with no charge. After that, the 12-month minimum applies.

If a payment is missed, we give 14 days to resolve before the site becomes temporarily unavailable. Once resolved, everything is restored. Inside the 12-month minimum the balance for the term remains due unless we agree a fair exit together.

If circumstances change inside the minimum term — selling the business, retiring, genuine financial hardship — we'll work with you to find a fair exit. No hidden fees, no silent rollovers.

4. Upfront path

One payment at 15% off the 12-month subscription total. Non-refundable once build starts; refundable pro-rata if cancelled before build starts. Optional Site Care at £99/mo to remain hosted and maintained after launch.

On the upfront path, the domain transfers to you as soon as payment clears. You own the code and the site on delivery.

5. Your domain

On the monthly path, we register and hold your domain during your first year as part of the subscription. After 12 months, the domain is yours to keep — whether you stay with us or move on.

On the upfront path, the domain transfers to you on payment.

We'll never hold a domain hostage to force renewal. Ever.

6. Cancellation

Cancel any time by email to hello@straightsites.co.uk or from your client dashboard once it's available. No phone call required.

Inside the 12-month minimum: the balance for the remaining months is due unless we agree otherwise under section 3. After the 12-month minimum: 30 days' notice and you're out clean.

7. Your data

Your content, photos, copy, and any customer data passed through the site's contact form belong to you. We process it as described in our privacy policy.

Your data and content are retained for 90 days after cancellation. Inside that window you can ask us for an export and we'll provide everything we hold. After 90 days, we delete it.

8. Uptime and support

We target 99.9% uptime via our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Planned maintenance is announced in advance. Unplanned outages: we investigate and restore as fast as we can.

Support is email-only on Starter and Basic tiers, with email + direct line on Standard and Extended. Response within one working day as standard; faster if something's actually broken.

9. What we don't cover

We don't guarantee specific search rankings, specific traffic volumes, or specific lead numbers. SEO Light gets you discoverable; outcomes depend on your trade, area, and competition. If you want active ranking work, that's a separate SEO service and we'll be clear about what it does.

We're not responsible for content you ask us to publish that turns out to be inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful. If you tell us to put "we're licensed in X" on your site and you're not, that's on you.

10. Changes to these terms

These are interim terms, in force until our full paralegal-reviewed contract template lands (target: within a few weeks of launch). Any material changes will be emailed to existing customers with 30 days' notice, and existing customers will be grandfathered at their signup terms where we can.

Questions: email hello@straightsites.co.uk. We read every one and answer properly.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
